Family Day – Aernnova Aircraft Services

Carlos Muñoz Marín – Head of HHRR Aernnova Aircraft Services
1 June 2026

On 16 May, we held the first Family Day at Aernnova Aircraft Services, a very special event during which we opened the company’s doors to share with family and friends what our day-to-day work is like and the work we do in the different areas of the organisation.

During the visit, attendees were able to tour different parts of the company and see first-hand how various departments operate. The day began with a welcome from management, who presented the company’s activities and its main current projects and challenges.

“We are very proud to have had this opportunity to spend time with our families and friends and show them how and where we work, as well as the importance of our work in ensuring that the aviation industry continues to operate safely and efficiently. We hope it has helped to maintain and pass on our passion for this industry to future generations.” — Carlos Sáinz

The tour then continued through the warehouse area, where the importance of organisation, coordination and logistics in ensuring the smooth running of all operations was explained. The team had organised a really fun activity, in which the children were able to take part in the process from start to finish.

“Speed, control and teamwork: that’s how the warehouse that supports our customers’ fleets operates, from planning and purchasing materials right through to sales.” — Garbiñe Fernández & Anna Escobar

We then moved on to the Engineering department, where, as well as learning about some of the projects and technical developments we are working on, attendees were able to try out a flight simulator that proved a big hit with young and old alike.

“It has allowed us to show our family and friends, in our own working environment, how our day-to-day work affects and is reflected in the aircraft we normally fly. The experience with the simulator was an excellent addition.” — Alberto Martín, Alex Zabaleta & Ahmad Fadi Hamami

The tour concluded in the workshop, where attendees were able to see first-hand some of the processes and tasks carried out on a daily basis, as well as the technical and practical aspects behind many of our projects.

“It has given us the chance to showcase the work we do up close and share it with our families and friends.” — Jose Cruz Quiñones & Txarli Fernández.

Following the tour of the plant, we organised a series of activities so that everyone could make the most of their time at AAS and take part in the various events we had arranged, including a flight simulator, a model-making workshop for the little ones, an aviation-themed photo opportunity, all accompanied by light refreshments in the canteen area.

The day took place in a friendly and engaging atmosphere, allowing attendees to get to know the company better, the people who work here, and the work we do every day.

On behalf of the organisers, we would like to thank all the teams involved for making this initiative possible, and all the families and friends who joined us for Family Day.
