All of us should consider on a daily basis whether what we do during our working day brings added value to the company. This implies a commitment of employees to a cultural change that makes us get involved with Continuous Improvement at different levels of our organization.<\/p>

IDEM Channel<\/strong> is one of the means. Thanks to it, any employee can participate with proposals and solutions that help to eliminate everything that does not add value and that is consuming resources. In addition, through this channel, we can reduce the risks identified in Aernnova, improving our safety and everything related to our work, as well as make proposals related to the ambitious objectives that have been set in the field of Sustainability.<\/p>

Last Tuesday, February 27th, the annual IDEM Awards of Aernnova Group took place, with the participation of Ricardo Chocarro<\/strong>, F\u00e9lix Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> and I\u00f1igo Gim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, CEO, COO and Director of Business Excellence of Aernnova respectively, as well as the heads of Quality, Continuous Improvement & and Environment.<\/p>

The following are the IDEM Awards 2023 of Aernnova Group<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 in the different categories:<\/p>

-The Safety Award<\/strong><\/span> has been granted to Josune Diego<\/span><\/strong> (Fibertecnic<\/strong><\/span>): eliminating risks in the area near the entrance of the autoclave, during the handling of the master mover. In addition, the solution can be implemented in the rest of Composites. It is a transit area with many people involved and there is a risk of being run over. This award aims to encourage the involvement of everyone in improving the Health and Safety of people, as one of the strategic pillars of\u00a0 Aernnova Group. In 2023, 16.9% of all the suggestions for improvement implemented were related to H&S.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/p>

-The Generation of Savings Award<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0went to Bruno Dinis<\/span><\/strong> (ANN \u00c9vora<\/span><\/strong>): optimization of packaging for Lower and Upper products of E2 and Praetor, achieving, by 2023, an annual reduction of 125,905 kg of wood and 1,220 kg of iron. This means, in addition to a very significant reduction in the cost of each package, an important contribution to the impact on the environment.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/p>

-For the first time, an award for “Environmental Protection<\/span><\/strong>” was given as a result of Aernnova’s commitment to sustainable development, which seeks to promote environmental protection and which was awarded to a suggestion made by three people: Miguel \u00c1ngel Pelayo, Luc\u00eda Coello and Jose Manuel Garc\u00eda (Intec-Air)<\/span><\/strong>. This improvement has consisted in the deactivation of paint burners and standardization and reduction of drying times to reduce the consumption of natural gas in the painting area, increasing, in addition, the productive capacity of the area. The implementation of these measures has resulted in savings of 143 tons of CO2 per year, i.e. the equivalent emission of 44 cars driving 20,000 km per year or the CO2 absorption capacity of a forest of 286 cork oaks, as well as economic savings of more than 90,000 euros per year. With this new award, the company confirms our commitment to the environment and aims to encourage the participation of all employees in the implementation of such improvements, in order to achieve the ambitious goals that ANN has set in the field of sustainability.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/p>

-Finally, the award for the Highest Number of Implemented Suggestions<\/span> <\/strong>went for the third consecutive year to Miguel \u00c1ngel Pelayo<\/span><\/strong>, an employee of Intec-Air<\/span><\/strong>, our company in C\u00e1diz (Spain), with 28 suggestions implemented in 2023, 27 in 2022, and 20 in 2021.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/p>

Of particular note is the involvement of employees in the companies Aernnova Aerospace Mexico<\/strong><\/span> and Aernnova do Brasil<\/span><\/strong>, whose contribution to improvement rises to the level of 1 suggestion per employee in 2023.<\/p>

Finally, the following awards were presented:<\/p>

First “Second Award”<\/strong><\/span>: M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez, Noem\u00ed Manceras and Rub\u00e9n Escobar (Aernnova Composites Illescas)<\/span><\/strong>: change of system that has achieved a 77% reduction in the number of packing operations, thus reducing the risk of H&S and Quality, Workforce times, Lead Time, and environmental impact.<\/p>

Second “Second Award”<\/span><\/strong>: Ignacio L\u00f3pez-G\u00f3mez (Aernnova Aeroestructuras Aeron\u00e1uticas)<\/span><\/strong>: installation of a laser detector, which ensures that a new type of rivet is correctly identified by IPAC Cell and can therefore be installed automatically. The number of rivets that could not be installed, prior to the implementation of this system, was 1,057 rivets per aircraft. This improvement also contributes to a higher Quality and Safety of our products.<\/p>
