Always Safe

As in any family, the safety and health of those who integrate Aernnova is our main concern and priority.

Ricardo Chocarro Melgosa – CEO Aernnova Group
24 January 2024

Creating a safe environment to prevent the risks of occupational accidents at work is everyone’s task. It’s a cliché, but it couldn’t be truer. From the design of our products and processes to individual behavior, we are all responsible for our own safety and the safety of others.

At Aernnova, great progress has been made in this area in recent years. In 2019 we had 130 occupational accidents with medical leave, with 8 million hours worked (Frequency Index of 16). In 2023 we have had 54 accidents with medical leave, with 9.3 million hours worked (FI of 6). We should all congratulate ourselves for this great improvement, but also be aware that in 2023 we had 54 more accidents than we want to have. The target is zero.

To get closer to this goal, the Always Safe project has defined nine methodological tools that are being implemented in all Aernnova’s industrial facilities, and which will undoubtedly help us to improve our systems and behaviors in order to get closer to this zero goal as soon as possible. We count on everyone’s help. We will keep you informed of the progress of the project in the next issues of ANNnews.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Chocarro
