I am José Rebocho, Quality CRM Responsible (Materials Review, solution of non-conformities generated in the factory and that must be repaired or changed) and Quality Team Leader of the Composites plant. I have been in the aeronautical sector since October 2014, after my training in composites and I have always worked in the Quality area.
I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and watching soccer games, especially my team.
ANNnews: José, could you briefly summarize what your day-to-day life at ANN Évora consists of?
José R.: My day to day varies depending on the production demands, but it starts with a “Gemba Walk” around the factory to check the status of the Quality equipment and analyze possible impacts on deliveries. As I belong to a support area, we always have to be in contact with the other areas so that the final result is as expected. Quality, together with safety, are key pillars in this industry. We have to make sure that everything is done with the right quality and never risk safety.
ANNnews: What changes have you experienced in your daily life since Évora joined the Aernnova Group? What has been new? What would you highlight as different?
José R.: In my opinion, the integration of Évora into the Aernnova Group has been beneficial for all areas. The processes are currently the same, but the method has changed, so that Évora acts in the same way as the other companies of the Aernnova Group.
ANNnews: As you know, one of the great challenges of Aernnova Évora is the growth of personnel to cover the production demand for next year. In this sense, we must work intensely on attracting talent, but above all, on its loyalty. What strengths or values would you highlight that the organization has to achieve these objectives?
José R.: The growth of the Évora factories is something that has surprised me because it has happened in a very short time. I believe that the organization offers good working conditions for new colleagues to stay for many years, as is the case with colleagues who have been here since the beginning.
It is important to retain all the talent, because given the specificity of all the processes, the learning curve takes time and people with talent, commitment and dedication can have a successful career in the Aernnova Group, and I believe that this organization will do everything possible to retain these people, as has happened in other situations.
ANNnews: What do you consider to be areas for improvement, reinforcement or in which areas should be given maximum attention in the coming years? What suggestions for improvement would you make in the work environment?
José R.: There are always situations that can be improved, but from my point of view I believe that the fundamental thing is not to give up the good things that Évora has, because I believe that there is value and conditions to continue the good work that has been done so far.
