ESG Action Plan Aernnova Group II

You are very important in the achievement of ESG goals, therefore, in 2022 the IDEM Environmental Award was created as a specific category due to the relevance of this issue in the company.

In the December 2022 issue, Aernnova’s roadmap for the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Goals was presented ( ESG Action Plan for Aernnova Group – ANNnews). These goals should be achieved by 2030, but the first steps have already been taken to achieve them by 2023, thus meeting some of the proposed milestones.

How are we working on the E of Enviroment?

Energy Efficiency: Awareness campaign with a clear objective of promoting energy efficiency and generating a company culture based on responsibility where all Aernnova personnel are key.

Progressive implementation of an Energy Management System (EMS) in all group companies. This system allows continuous improvement in the use of energy by monitoring energy consumption through measuring equipment and an on-line control platform.

We have achieved 87% in the recyclability of the waste we generate, with continuous work on finding solutions for the recycling of all the materials we work with.

In 2023 we have launched a project to develop a calculation tool to measure the carbon footprint of our products, covering all the scopes and categories according to GHG Protocol standards and the guidelines set by the IAEG (International Aerospace Environmental Group).

We are convinced that everything that can be measured can be improved.

How are we facing the challenges of the S for Social?

Safety, a key word for all Aernnova personnel as well as for the products we manufacture.

Launch of the ALWAYS SAFE program with prototypes in several companies of the group such as Aernnova Aeroestructuras Álava, Burulan, Fibertecnic and Aernnova México.

Regarding Good Governance Goals, G for Governance, we highlight the latest milestones:

Implementation and opening of the internal information system in order to comply with the provisions of the different legislation regarding whistleblower protection and the use of information channels. This system makes it possible to group all the information channels applicable to the respective Group companies on the same computer platform. This System shall be the preferred channel for reporting actions or omissions constituting certain breaches of European Union Law, criminal offenses or serious or very serious administrative offenses, as well as any other facts or conduct that may imply, by action or omission, any breach of Aernnova’s Code of Ethics or of the measures that are part of Aernnova’s Crime Prevention Management System.
