Aernnova has pledged to reduce up to 40% its energy consumption ratio by 2030, and we all have a crucial role to play in achieving this ambitious goal and protecting the environment.
The Key: Small Actions with Big Impact
Energy efficiency does not rely solely on major technological investments. While modernizing systems and implementing renewable energy sources are essential, employees’ daily behaviour makes a significant difference. Turning off lights and equipment when not in use, taking advantage of natural light, optimizing heating and air-conditioning use, and reducing paper consumption may seem like minor measures—but when multiplied by hundreds or thousands of people, their impact is enormous.
That’s why it’s important to remember and ensure compliance with Aernnova’s Ten Commadnments for Energy Responsibility.
A Culture of Energy Efficiency
During 2022–2023, Aernnova launched an energy awareness campaign for all employees with the goal of fostering a culture of energy efficiency.
Aligned with this commitment, the company recently launched a new refresher training on energy efficiency to strengthen employees’ awareness of the importance of adopting more sustainable and responsible habits.

Heating Control System Using Temperature Sensors in Miñano
Our heating systems still largely depend on fossil fuels such as natural gas—a limited resource that significantly contributes to global warming. It is therefore essential to ensure efficient and responsible use, avoiding unnecessary energy consumption.
At our headquarters, we are aware of this reality and have implemented an advanced temperature sensor system. Thanks to this technology, heating automatically starts and stops because it is adjusted to the outdoor temperature and various key points inside the plant. This system optimizes energy consumption by preventing unnecessary operation, thereby promoting a more sustainable and efficient model.
Heater Timer in Surface Treatment Tanks at INTECAIR (Cádiz)
In our production processes, the use of fossil fuels remains necessary for certain equipment, such as the heaters that warm the surface treatment tanks. However, optimizing their consumption is important to reduce energy waste.
INTECAIR, our plant in Cádiz, committed to improving energy efficiency, has implemented a system that regulates the operating time of the heaters. This way, the use of natural gas to heat the tanks is limited, instead of being in continuous operation with manual control.
