Ricardo Chocarro Melgosa – CEO Grupo Aernnova
26 June 2025

Every one and a half second, an aircraft with Aernnova structures takes off somewhere in the world. This fact highlights the magnitude of our responsibility and the importance of our commitment to quality as a guarantee of aviation safety.
Lack of quality compromises both safety and the efficiency of our processes—two elements that are essential for Aernnova, as we have always emphasized. Our company has an excellent track record in reducing non-quality, but continuous improvement and the eradication of non-quality are part of our DNA and must continue to be so.
The current context of the industry—marked by strong growth as well as significant tensions due to the shortage of certain supplies and basic resources—presents us with several risks across every program, factory, and supplier. It is reassuring to know that our quality system is designed to manage these scenarios and ensure that we continue to meet our obligations and expectations. It is also important to remember, in this context, the enormous significance of individual contributions to quality. Eighty percent of aviation accidents and incidents originate from human factors, anywhere along the value chain. Each of us plays a vital role in maintaining and improving our quality performance by knowing, respecting, and enhancing those standards.
News such as the B787 accident in India—still under investigation—reminds us of the importance of maintaining a strong culture of quality in our organization. Thanks to this, we can continue to ensure that, everyone and a half second an aircraft lands safely at its destination with Aernnova structures on board, and that Aernnova remains a sustainable company over time.
I want to thank you for your dedication and ongoing commitment to quality. Let’s continue building a safe and successful future together for Aernnova and for aviation.
Yours sincerely,
Ricardo Chocarro Melgosa
