ANNnews Editorial Office
25 March 2025
The team that carried out this project, known as the “Web Office”, was formed by Unai Lebrero, Cristina Quiñones, Mikel Corbal, Susana Carrico and Alejandro Morales. In addition, the project has counted with Guiomar Ramos, who, together with Gemma Ortiz de Barrón, Director of Institutional Relations of Aernnova Group and leader of the project, will assume the responsibility of keeping the information on the website updated, ensuring that it continues to be a dynamic and attractive reflection of our company.
ANNnews: Gemma, what were the objectives of this project?
GEMMA ORTIZ DE BARRÓN: The objective was to update and modernize the website. We wanted to show Aernnova as an attractive company to work for. Focused on recruiting and on what we are, what we do and how we do it.
We wanted young people to like it, they are an important part of our stakeholders, so the participation of the “Web Office” was key.
We wanted the navigation experience to be more intuitive, organized, clear and dynamic. The strategic use of videos, illustrations, photos and key messages allowed us to condense and effectively transmit the values of the Aernnova brand, differentiating us within the sector.
In addition, our goal was not only to capture attention on the home page, but to catch the attention of users to explore more about us and go into the rest of the content.
As a great novelty, we have incorporated the Careers Section, where the HR department can publish vacancies and manage the reception of CVs in an organized way. This functionality adds a differential value to our website.
ANNnews: What have been the biggest challenges during the process of creating and modernizing the website?
MIKEL CORBAL: One of the biggest challenges we faced as a team was to balance the needs of a brand with decades in the aerostructures sector and a web design that would make it look more modern, agile and attractive to the audience, all while maintaining its essence and origin.
Another challenge was to ensure that the website was functional for both PC and mobile devices. We had to ensure that the new website was fast, accessible and easy to use on any device.
Finally, the most important challenge was to show on the website that Aernnova is a company with a global presence and with many different roles within the organization, since it does not only have technical profiles, all kinds of profiles fit within Aernnova.
ANNnews: What would you like this new website to achieve in the long term?
ALEJANDRO MORALES: I would like it to transmit what we have tried to reflect; the strength, dynamism, modernity and digitalization of Aernnova. On the other hand, I would like it to be useful for all users to find the information they need about projects, vacancies, policies and other elements.
ANNnews: How do you think each of you brought your fresh and dynamic vision to the project?
CRISTINA GARCÍA QUIÑONES: In this team we all belong to different companies within Aernnova and that is important because a website is a letter of introduction for a company. Because of our different profiles we can all contribute different nuances, and I believe that it is the whole that gives an effective result. Also, both Aernnova’s potential customers and individual users or potential candidates may belong to very different areas (design, industrial organization, tooling, materials, human resources…) and they need a global vision to be attracted to.
ANNnews: How do you think the new website will impact users?
CRISTINA GARCÍA QUIÑONES: As it is a much more dynamic and visual website with much more organized information, I believe it will fulfil its function in keeping the attention of users and better disseminate the fact that Aernnova is a technological and modern company with any of its competitors and customers. I would highlight in a very positive way the changes in relation to the People and Global Presence site, since they allow to obtain information and a much more detailed and comfortable search for vacancies for any user.
ANNnews: Was there a moment when you felt especially proud of the work done? Why?
UNAI LEBRERO: I felt very satisfied when I brought my camera to Berantevilla, and I participated by taking photos that have subsequently been used for the website. Contributing with photography, which is my passion, adding my point of view, has undoubtedly been my greatest contribution.
ANNnews: What do you think about the participation of the young team in future projects of the company?
SUSANA CRISTINA CARRICO CIDADE: I think it has been a great initiative on the part of the company to involve young people from different areas in the development of the new website. In addition to the company’s commitment to young people and the future of Aernnova, it has fostered an atmosphere of collaboration and dynamism in which ideas are exchanged between different generations.
I believe that these synergies are crucial for long-term success, because in addition to the fact that young people are the future, they bring a fresher and more innovative vision, along with all the enthusiasm and creativity of those who are just starting out in the job market.
GUIOMAR RAMOS: As part of this Web Office, I must say that participating in the development of Aernnova’s new website has been a very enriching experience. It has allowed me to acquire new knowledge about the use of web design and development tools.
Projects like this help to acquire additional skills for teamwork and project management. Having collaborated with a team of young professionals of the company has been key to achieve a fresh, current and aligned with current digital trends website.
Therefore, I would like to highlight the value of the participation of this team, thanking them for their effort and emphasizing that this renovation can be the example of other collaborative projects to come in the future.
