After exploring several options, Brek Manufactring has finally selected Wichita for expansion. Wichita is one of the top aerospace clusters in USA.
As you all know, Brek Manufacturing Company is specialized in the manufacture of complex structural aircraft parts, with a product line consisted of complex contoured surface aircraft parts.
The main aircraft programs with a high percentage of Brek´s sales are the Lockheed Joint Strike Fighter “F-35”, the Boeing F-18 and the Boeing F-15, the combined sales all three programs is over 50% of the annual sales of the company.
Additionally, Brek recently signed a six-year Long terms Agreement for all parts and assemblies we currently manufacture. The F-15 fighter jet received a potential of 180 jets which translates to a 5 to 10 years of future production. As for the F-18, the aircraft demand for the next three years appears to be strong.
The capacity of the facilities of Brek will increase, together with the plant of Gardena, California, from 180,000 square feet to 287,000 sf. Moreover, production in Brek is accomplished through the utilization of computer controlled 5 Axis machines, which will increase with the acquired manufacturing plant adding 7 3-Spindle 5-Axis milling machines, four machines for machining hard metals and three high-speed for cutting aluminum.
“This plant will allow sales growth of 50% and will also provide space for further growth.”
Wichita is considered the capital of aerospace manufacturing, a region with an efficient industry that will enhance Brek’s competitiveness and profitability.
