On June 13th, the first DPU (Double Propulsion Unit) for the Lilium Jet – Pegasus prototype was ready to deliver to Lilium from Internacional de Composites (ICSA), Toledo. This component is one of the 16 that make up the nacelles for the electric engines, called PMS (Propulsion Mounting Structure).
In addition, ANN is also providing another work package to Lilium, the Wing and Canard, whose first partial deliveries were made on December 15th.
Both structures, PMS and Wing & Canard, have been developed by Aernnova Engineering Division (AED) and manufactured in different Aernnova´s companies: ICSA – Toledo, Burulan – Vitoria, Aerometallic Tarazona (AMT) – Tarazona, Intec-Air – Cádiz and the Suppy Chain support. The assembly has been carried out at ICSA on PMS and at Aernnova Aeroestructuras Álava (AAA) – Berantevilla on Wing & Canard respectively.
All of these components are being delivered to Lilium’s FAL in Munich where they will be integrated with the rest of the prototype.
This fact marks a key milestone in the Lilium Jet – Pegasus project, starting the assembly and testing phase of the program. Deliveries of the next components will be made over the next few months, focusing on reaching the first flight before the end of the year.
Congratulations to the whole participating Aernnova team, especially to ICSA and AAA teams.
