16 December 2021
During the Embraer Suppliers Conference 2020-2021 held last December 2, Aernnova obtained three important awards: (i) best Structures Supplier, (ii) best Engineering Services Supplier and (iii) best supplier of Technical Solutions and Services.
This is the seventh time that Aernnova has been recognized as the best supplier of structures (the last 6 years in a row) and there have been several years in which it has received the award for the best supplier of technical solutions and services.
José Ignacio Castrejana (Embraer Programs Director): “The message received is a source of special pride for the entire Aernnova family due to the special relationship that has existed with Embraer since the very beginning of Aernnova’s existence and serves as a stimulus to strengthen the excellent relationship between both companies in view of the important challenges that we will have to face in the coming years, such as the expected rapid recovery of regional aviation and the transformation of the segment towards sustainable mobility solutions”.
Adel Ben Smida (Business Development Director AED): “This is the first time that Aernnova Engineering has received the award since we started working with Embraer in 1993 when we started developing the ERJ 145 wing. Since the first project we got with Embraer (the 5th seat of the Phenom 100-/300) we have been involved with most of the areas and divisions that Embraer outsources abroad, in Executive, Commercial and Defense Aviation. Our participation has been diverse, from structure design to interior design, mechanisms, CNC programming, electrical and hydraulic systems, electrical formboard, iron bird, chronoanalysis and FAI, among others. I am proud to say that today we have a very solid engineering office in Brazil capable of developing large and complex engineering projects. The recognition of our achievements is really appreciated by all of us and is a proof of the engineering skills and talent of the people we have in our company.”
Carlos Sainz (SVP & General Manager Aernnova Aircraft Services): “It is a great satisfaction, that our AAS (Aernnova Aircraft Services) teams have once again received this recognition from EMBRAER in competition with many other service providers in other disciplines, such as equipment, systems, electronics, structures, etc. For me, and for those who know us, this is not a surprise. This award is the result of the daily work in 24H service, of a very committed and highly qualified customer-oriented team, capable of solving all those events that arise during the operation of the fleet and maintaining the premise that the aircraft must be back in the air as soon as possible and in a safe way. On the one hand, our maintenance engineering and fleet support with a great prestige among customers, and on the other hand, our spare parts and repair services with an exquisite level of service despite the difficulties of dealing with the unpredictable.
These have been difficult years for aviation, and despite the general drop in flights and their maintenance, which has resulted in a very significant drop in spare parts sales, we have had to develop technical solutions and repairs at similar levels in pre-pandemic periods. I think this is a good sign for the future because they continue to trust Aernnova to solve their problems, keeping us as a reference in Services.
Finally, I would also like to thank the AED (Aernnova Engineering Division) staff for their support to our engineering and the rest of the plants and internal suppliers of the group for their patience and understanding of our requests. Without their collaboration, it would not have been possible to achieve this award. In any case, let us all congratulate ourselves as Aernnova Group and let us not forget to continue pursuing the excellence demanded by our customers.”
The awards obtained this year are especially relevant because they are the recognition of one of our main customers for the outstanding performance and management of Aernnova in two years marked by the pandemic and the particularly complicated environment it has generated in the aerospace sector.
We are grateful to Embraer for allowing us to participate in their projects and for the collaborative way in which they have worked in partnership with our company and our engineers.
To all: Obrigado e Parabens
